In Sankt-Petersburg steht eine ehemalige Wohnung von Dmitri Shostakovich in der Kronverskaya-Straße zum Verkauf. Der Verkaufspreis beträgt 360.000 Euro, was für eine 240 Quadratmeter Wohnung in dieser Lage recht teuer sein soll, berichten russische Medien. Die Wohnung, in der Shostakovich von 1937 bis 1941 lebte, wechselte angeblich schon mehrmals den Besitzer.

The Mahler Chamber Orchestra announced that it will be Mitsuko Uchida’s exclusive orchestral touring partner for the next five years. The release says: « From 2019 to 2023, we will bring our programmes – based around Mozart’s piano concertos and also featuring works for chamber orchestra – to multiple cities in Europe, North America and Asia. This year’s Long Thibaud Crespin competition is for pianists, and the registration just opened und is possible until March 17. Pianist Marie-Josèphe Jude is in charge of the preselection, organized from April 17 to July 2 in Tokyo, Seoul, Shanghai, Hamburg, Moscow, Vienna, Paris, Oslo and New York. The competition will take place in Paris from November 8 to 16, 2019. The jury will be chaired by Martha Argerich.
