The Mahler Chamber Orchestra announced that it will be Mitsuko Uchida’s exclusive orchestral touring partner for the next five years. The release says: « From 2019 to 2023, we will bring our programmes – based around Mozart’s piano concertos and also featuring works for chamber orchestra – to multiple cities in Europe, North America and Asia. We look forward to returning to the prestigious Mozartwoche in Salzburg, Southbank Centre in London and Carnegie Hall in New York for performances in each of the upcoming years.

The upcoming first tour takes Uchda and the MCO to seven cities across Europe: Bietigheim-Bissingen (27 January), Salzburg (29 January), Brussels (31 January), Utrecht (1 February), Dortmund (3 February), Eindhoven (4 February) and London (6 February). In mid-March, there will be further concerts in Europe (Heidelberg, 20 March) and the United States (Chapel Hill, 27 March and New York, 29 March).
