The Cannes Orchestra was given the appellation « Orchestre National en Région and Cannes now be called National Orchestra of Cannes. On its website the orchestra says: « This label testifies to the recognition of the requirement and the musical work accomplished these last years by the 37 musicians of the Orchestra and Benjamin Levy, and also salutes an active policy carried out in parallel of the concert activities as regards transmission and artistic and cultural education. »

The 72 musicians San Antonio Symphony are still on strike since late September. After renegotiating the contract for the 2021-22 season with the board, the musicians rejected a proposal that would reduce pay and eliminate 30 full-time positions.
