After a multi-year search, the Baton Rouge Symphony Orchestra has announced the selection of Adam Johnson as Music Director, effective July 1, 2023. In the performances Boris Godunow on 4 on 6 July 2023, the Ukrainian Alexander Tsymbalyuk takes over the role of ‘Boris’ instead of Ildar Abdrazakov.

Martin Rajna

The National Opera of Hungary has announced the young Hungarian Martin Rajna as Chief Conductor and Péter Halász as First Guest Conductor. Martin Rajna (*1995) is also chief conductor of the Győr Philharmonic Orchestra (since 2021). In 2018, he was selected for Hungary’s Junior Prima Award. In 2022 he won a scholarship for the Forum Dirgieren programme of the German Music Council and a Conducting Fellowship at the Lucerne Festival Academy.
