Vor Beginn der Saisonpremiere der Mailänder Scala ist es am gestrigen Mittwochabend zu einer Kundgebung einer linksradikalen Bewegung gekommen, die für Sozialwohnungen und Beschäftigung protestierte. Die Randalierer versuchten eine Polizeisperre zu durchbrechen und sich der Scala zu nähern. Dabei warfen sie Rauchbomben, Eier und Gemüse auf die Polizei. Die Protestler konnten zurückgedrängt werden und die Premiere der Originalfassung von ‘Madama Butterfly’ unter Riccardo Chailly verlief ohne Zwischenfälle.

In der Saison 2015/16 verbuchte das Luzerner Sinfonieorchester 3,1 Prozent mehr Besucher als im Jahr zuvor. Dieser erneute Anstieg ergibt eine Gesamtbesucherzahl von knapp 62.000.
