Simon Rattle must undergo surgery for a hernia in the next few days and has to withdraw from conducting the LSO Prom on Saturday 30 August and the Chineke! Prom on Friday 5 September. Ryan Bancroft is stepping in to conduct the LSO and Jonathon Heyward to conduct Chineke!
