American soprano Soprano Ailyn Perez (*1979) is this year’s recipient of the Beverly Sills Artist Award, presented each year by the Metropolitan Opera New York. The award is a $50,000 grant to help foster the careers of the young singers who receive it. Ailyn Pérez also won the 2012 Richard Tucker Award.
