Dieses Album des Orchestre national d’Auvergne beginnt mit einer wunderbaren Interpretation von Haydns 49. Symphonie, sehr gefühlvoll und wirklich bewegend im ersten Satz, in dem man das äußerst raffinierte und ausgewogene Spiel des Orchesters bewundern kann. Zehetmair legt Wert auf kräftige Kontraste und schärft damit den Ausdruck. Auch die übrigen Sätze gefallen, denn sie sind energetisch und dazu fein differenziert.
Sehr empfindsam und ausdrucksstark gelingt dem Dirigenten das Adagio der 80. Symphonie, und die schnellen Sätze sind vital und zeigen aber auch viel Gespür für den Inhalt der Musik.
Diese musikalische Haydn-Tour wird unterbrochen von György Ligetis Ramifications (A la mémoire de Serge et Natalia Koussevitzky) in einer sehr konzentrierten und spannenden Interpretation.
This album by the Orchestre national d’Auvergne opens with a wonderful interpretation of Haydn’s 49th Symphony, very soulful and truly moving in the first movement, where one can admire the orchestra’s extremely refined and balanced playing. Zehetmair emphasizes strong contrasts, sharpening the expression. The other movements are also pleasing, for they are energetic and finely differentiated to boot.
The conductor succeeds very sensitively and expressively in the Adagio of the 80th Symphony, and the fast movements are vital but also show much feeling for the content of the music.
This musical Haydn tour is interrupted by György Ligeti’s Ramifications (A la mémoire de Serge et Natalia Koussevitzky) in a very concentrated and exciting interpretation.
