Music project developers from all over Europe will be meeting in Osnabrück (Germany) from 10 to 14 September for the Second ‘Young EARopean Award’ & Festival. With concerts, conferences, podium discussions and the nominee showcase, ‘YEAH!’ is the most important European platform for music communication and education. During the five days innovative performance concepts of the future are publicly introduced, discussed, evaluated and honored.

With its 15 nominated productions selected from 136 applications, ‘YEAH!’ is presenting the current topography of European music education.

The festival starts with a world premiere: on 10 September the 50 members of the ‘Cor Infantil Amics de la Unió’ (Spain) and the percussion trio ‘Body Rhythm Factory’ (Denmark) will present the results of their work at the ‘YEAH!’ Camp with a choreographed choral-percussion concert. The nominated ‘Zonzo Compagnie’ will surprise the audience on 11 September with the multi-dimensional performance ‘Listen to the Silence – A Journey with John Cage’.

On 13 September 2013, new and unusual performance locations will be explored for their potential as performance spaces at the conference ‘Raum.Klang – Klang.Raum’ (Space.Sound – Sound.Space) with many practical examples.

The awards ceremony on 14 September 2013 at Osnabrück Castle will be the culmination of the festival.
