Das Album On a Ground enthält eine Folge von kurzen Stücken aus verschiedenen Ländern und von der Renaissance-Zeit bis ins 21. Jahrhunderts. Das Album wurde nach einer Konzerttournee in Japan, kurz vor dem weltweiten Lockdown im Dezember 2019 im Chichibu Muse Park in Japan aufgenommen.
Es ist ein charmantes Programm mit ruhig-meditativen oder auch fröhlichen Melodien, teils bekannte, auch viele weniger bekannte. Ob es sich um die Recercada von Dieo Ortiz handelt oder die phantasievollen Kompositionen des dänischen Komponisten Lars Hannibal, die Blockflötenvirtuosin Michala Petri und die japanische Barockharfenistin Marie Nishiyama spielen immer stilistisch einwandfrei und ausdrucksvoll, was zu oft bewegenden Interpretationen führt.
Und so ist dies ein richtiges Wohlfühlprogramm!
The album ‘On a Ground’ features a collection of short pieces spanning different countries and eras, from the Renaissance to the 21st century. It was recorded at Chichibu Muse Park in Japan shortly before the global lockdown in December 2019, after a concert tour in Japan.
The program features charming melodies that are either calm, meditative, or cheerful. Some are well-known, while many are not. Whether it is the Recercada by Diego Ortiz or the imaginative compositions by Danish composer Lars Hannibal, Petri and Nishiyama always play stylistically flawless and expressive, resulting sometimes in moving interpretations.
This is truly a feel-good program!
