In Munich, the Symphonieorchester des Bayerischen Rundfunks is still awaiting to get a new Music Director. The position is vacant since the death of Mariss Jansons in November 2019.

Now, the German newspaper Der Merkur put some names on the chessboard: Simon Rattle, Daniel Harding, Yannick Nézet-Séguin and Franz Welser-Möst. From the four, Nézet-Séguin is the least probable, with already jobs in Montreal, New-York and Philadelphia. But in the fall, a decision could be made in Munich. Wait and see.
