Susanna Mälkki
There has been e media rush on an AP news, that 52-year-old Finnish conductor Susanna Mälkki could become the next Music Director of the New York Philharmonic, when Jaap van Zweden will leave the orchestra at the end of the 2023-24 season.
Mälkki is chief conductor of the Helsinki Philharmonic Orchestra, but announced last month she will leave the Finland post at the end of the 2022-23 season. Some lobby must be behind this hype.
