The Enescu International Festival has announced that Vladimir Jurowski is appointed its next Artistic Director. Jurowski, who is currently Principal Conductor of the London Philharmonic Orchestra, Artistic Director of the Evgeny Svetlanov Orchestra, Principal Conductor of the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment, and Chief Conductor and Artistic Director Designate of the Rundfunk-Sinfonieorchester Berlin will assume this task immediately in preparation for the 2017 edition of the festival. At the same time, Zubin Mehta has been announced as Honorary President.
