Der usbekische Dirigent Aziz Shokhakimov beginnt sein ganzes Prokofiev- Programm mit einer entspannt-anmutigen und herzigen Interpretation der Symphonie Classique, in der Prokofiev Haydn nicht imitiert, sondern ihm augenzwinkernd begegnet. Eine gute Portion Humor und Ironie gibt es in dieser Interpretation, gerade wie kübelweise Farben.
Aus dem Suitenangebot von Prokofievs Ballett Roméo et Juliette hat Shokhakimov nicht, wie die meisten Dirigenten das tun, eine eigene Suite zusammengestellt, sondern er dirigiert einfach die beiden ersten Suiten op. 64bis und 64ter. Er betont dabei das Tänzerische und die Stimmungen. Er tut das wiederum mit vielen warmen Farben und lässt die Musik, die sonst manchmal kühl wirkt oder nervös dramatisch, sehr schön werden.
The Uzbek conductor Aziz Shokhakimov begins his entire Prokofiev program with a relaxed, graceful and heartfelt interpretation of the Symphonie Classique, in which Prokofiev does not imitate Haydn, but meets him with a wink. There is a good dose of humor and irony in this interpretation, as well as buckets of color.
Shokhakimov did not create his own suite from the suites of Prokofiev’s ballet Roméo et Juliette, as most conductors do, but simply conducted the first two suites, op. 64bis and 64ter. He emphasizes the dance-like quality and the moods. He does this again with many warm colors and makes the music, which otherwise sometimes seems cool or nervously dramatic, very beautiful.
