During the performance of Tchaikovsky’s Violin Concerto in the church of São Gonçalo (Amarante, Portugal), conductor Nuno Côrte-Real made a big gesture and sent the soloist’s violin to the floor. The soloist was Romulo Assis, the concertmaster of Orquestra do North, and his violin is a Nicolo Amati, from the end of the 17th century. Local media say, the violin was damaged but is repairable.
