Es ist eine bezaubernde Folge ruhiger, oft zärtlich-poetischer Melodien, unter denen selbst ein Vivace ruhig und lieblich klingt. Alexei Lubimov gelingt es, die Ruhe und Besinnlichkeit der Musik derart inspiriert wiederzugeben, dass das fast 80 Minuten dauernde Programm nicht monoton wird.
