Das Klaviertrio, das Capriccio für Cello und Klavier sowie drei für Violine und Klavier arrangierte Lieder von Fanny Mendelssohn sowie das zweite Trio und ein Lied ihres Bruders Felix geben die drei spanischen Musiker auf dieser Aufnahme zum Besten. Mit jugendlichem Elan und frisch zupackendem Einsatz, wie es sowohl den Kompositionen als auch ihrer eigenen Lebenssituation entspricht, lassen sie diese Stücke erklingen.
Wiewohl sie wohl nur projektbezogen als Trio agieren, erreichen sie eine enge Verzahnung ihrer Partien, die von einer ausgereiften gegenseitigen Beachtung im Zusammenspiel zeugt und die ausgewählten Kompositionen in ein gutes Licht rückt. In den Liedern oder auch den langsamen Sätzen der Trios lassen sie statt des drängenden Elans auch die ruhige Hand des sich entwickelnden Musikstroms walten, so dass sie auch emotionale und lyrische Passagen hörbar machen können. Zusammen mit der guten Aufnahmetechnik bietet die Aufnahme musikalisch lohnende Unterhaltung.
The Piano Trio, the Capriccio for cello and piano as well as three songs by Fanny Mendelssohn arranged for violin and piano plus the second trio and a song by her brother Felix are performed by the three Spanish musicians on this recording. They perform these pieces with youthful verve and a fresh, dynamic approach, as befits both the compositions and their own situation in life.
Although they probably only act as a project-related trio, they achieve a close coherence, which testifies to a mature mutual attention in the interplay and puts the selected compositions in a good light. In the songs or even the slow movements of the trios, instead of the pressing élan, they also allow the steady hand of the developing stream of music to prevail, so that they can also make emotional and lyrical passages audible. Asa the recorded sound is also very good, this release provides musically rewarding entertainment.
