The Sydney Symphony Orchestra welcomes its new Chief Conductor Simone Young in July as it returns to its home at the Sydney Opera House’s newly renovated Concert Hall for the first time in two and a half years. Since February 2020, Sydney Symphony has been based at Sydney Town Hall while the Concert Hall underwent major renewal works to improve the acoustics and accessibility.

For this reopening on 20-24 July Simone Young conducts Mahler 2 and the world-premiere of a new work by William Barton.
