Das neue Album des privaten Borusan Istanbul Philharmonic beginnt mit einer rhythmisch geschärften, wie radiographisch durchleuchteten und daher sehr idiomatischen Interpretation von Bela Bartoks Tanzsuite, in der, bei aller Klangmodernität, das Atmosphäre nicht fehlt.
Nicht weniger gute Arbeit leistet der Chefdirigent des Orchesters, der 1969 geborene Italiener Carlo Tenan, in Bohuslav Martinus The Frescoes of Piero della Francesca. Tenan kann die Fresken effektvoll steigern vom spannungsvoll-mysteriösen ersten Bild bis zum abschließenden heroischen Poco Allegro.
Stimmungsvolle und sehr farbige Interpretationen von Zoltan Kodalys Tänzen aus Galanta und von George Enescus Rumänischer Rhapsodie Nr. 1 beschließen das attraktive Programm.
The new album by the private Borusan Istanbul Philharmonic opens with a rhythmically sharp, radiographically illuminated and therefore very idiomatic interpretation of Bela Bartok’s Dance Suite, in which, despite all the modernity of the sound, there is no lack of atmosphere.
The orchestra’s chief conductor, the Italian Carlo Tenan, born in 1969, does no less a job in Bohuslav Martinu’s The Frescoes of Piero della Francesca. Tenan is able to effectively heighten the frescoes from the suspenseful, mysterious first image to the final, heroic Poco Allegro.
Atmospheric and colorful interpretations of Zoltan Kodaly’s Dances from Galanta and George Enescu’s Romanian Rhapsody No. 1 complete this attractive program.
