Die beiden Schwestern Danae und Kiveli Dörken präsentieren eine abwechslungsreiche Auswahl von Musik, die die beiden griechischen Götter Apollo und Dionysos zum Inhalt hat. Neben ihren guten technischen Fähigkeiten fasziniert auf dieser CD zum einen die Art und Weise, wie die beiden Interpretinnen sich klanglich voneinander abheben, so dass ein richtiger Dialog entsteht. Zum anderen beeindruckt ihr Einfühlungsvermögen, mit dem sie nicht nur atmosphärisch immer richtig liegen, sondern auch die stilistischen Unterschiede zwischen den Komponisten gut erfahrbar werden lassen.
Das macht diese Reise so großartig, man hat ständig den Eindruck in eine neue Epoche und in eine neue kulturelle Umgebung katapultiert zu werden.
The two sisters Danae and Kiveli Dörken present a varied selection of music based on the two Greek gods Apollo and Dionysus. In addition to their good technical skills, what is fascinating on this CD is, on the one hand, the way in which the two interpreters contrast with each other tonally, so that a real dialogue is created. On the other hand, their empathy is impressive, with which they are not only atmospherically always right, but also make the stylistic differences between the composers well perceptible.
