Simon Rattle, 65, who is expected to become the new Music Director of the Symphonieorchester des Bayerischen Rundfunks may not renew his contract as Music Director of the London Symphony Orchestra when it expires in 2022, British media speculate. Rattle has been with the LSO since 2017, on a five-year contract.
