After his First Prize at the Belvedere Competition in July, South African tenor Levy Sekgapane became also the winner of the XIV Montserrat Caballé International Singing Competition in Spain. He gets 12.000 euros prize money and a number of professional contracts. Second Prize, worth 6.000 euros, went to the Ukrainian baritone Yurity Yurchuk, while Third Prize of 3.000 euros went ex aequo to the Chinese tenor Zhang Xiqiu and Greek soprano Aikaterini Koufochristou.
