Following an initial four year contract, Finnish conductor Santtu-Matias Rouvali, 33, signs for a further four years as Chief Conductor of the Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra, The National Orchestra of Sweden.
Santtu-Matias Rouvali began his tenure as Chief Conductor in 2017 and the new contract extends to 2025. He is also Artistic Director and Chief Conductor of the Tampere Philharmonic Orchestra and Principal Guest Conductor of the Philharmonia Orchestra London.
