Countertenor David Daniels, who was to sing in San Francisco Opera’s 2019 production of Orlando, has been expelled over sexual assault allegations.
In an announcement, the company said that Daniels, who was to sing the role of Medoro in Handel’s opera, was let go “after considerable deliberation given the serious allegations of sexual assault” made against the singer.
