Some people did not stop questioning why, in fact, the Board of the San Diego Opera decided to shut down operations after the last production of the current season. Now, the same board members are no longer convinced that they took the right decision. They voted to postpone the closure and to give themselves  time to further examine finances and consider options. The board voted 35 to 4 to wait until April 29 to take any definitive actions regarding the company’s future.
