After the San Antonio Symphony’s closure by the management in June, the musicians were not inactive. They announce now the creation of the San Antonio Philharmonic: « We are excited to announce the San Antonio Philharmonic as the new name for the MOSAS Performance Fund, which presented three well-received concerts in the spring, spearheaded by musicians from the San Antonio Symphony. Community support allows the musicians to build for the future, reconnecting the community with its orchestra, and preserving the legacy of professional symphonic music in San Antonio. »  The motto is Forward together – Adelante Juntos ».

With a new logo and website https://saphil.org/, they announce a new 13-concert season that begins on Sept. 16. They will be playing at the First Baptist Church.

Concerts will be led by conductors such as Ken-David Masur, Sebastian Lang-Lessing, and Christopher Wilkins.
