In Tunesien geboren, mit spanischen, sardischen und deutschen Wurzeln, lebt die Pianistin Roberte Mamou heute in Paris und Brüssel. Spezialisiert auf Barock, Klassik und Romantik, hat sie für ihre neueste CD ein Programm mit Wiener Variationen zusammengestellt. Daraus machte sie eine attraktive Schallplatte.
Ihr eloquentes, fein nuanciertes, von klugem Rubato gesteuertes, immer sehr kantables, aber auch spontanes und frisches Spiel zwingt den Zuhörer, ihr aufmerksam und mit viel Vergnügen durch die Variationen zu folgen. Das Schöne daran ist, dass diese Rhetorik nie recherchiert, sondern immer natürlich wirkt in einer blühenden Sanglichkeit, die alle sechs Stücke dieser Ars-SACD beglückend werden lässt.
Born in Tunisia, with Spanish, Sardinian and German roots, pianist Roberte Mamou now lives in Paris and Brussels. Specializing in Baroque, Classical and Romantic music, she put together a program of Viennese variations for her latest CD. She made one very attractive recording out of it.
Her eloquent, finely nuanced playing, controlled by subtle rubato, always very cantabile, but at the same time spontaneous and fresh, compels the listener to follow her attentively and with great pleasure through these variations. The beauty is that this rhetoric is never recherché, but always seems natural in a flourishing cantabile that makes all six pieces on this Ars SACD delightful.
