Mit dem achten Album kommt Michael Risches C.P.E. Bach-Zyklus zum Abschluss. Er umfasst in etwa die Hälfte aller vorliegenden Klavierkonzerte von Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach (1714-1788). Wie schon in den anderen Einspielungen zeichnet sich auch diese hier durch ein sehr kontrastreiches und entsprechend rhetorisches Musizieren aus.
In den schnellen Sätzen ist viel Schub zu spüren ist, und die innere Spannung sowie die Spontaneität machen die Musik erlebnisbereit In den langsamen Sätzen hören wir die berückendsten Momente verhalten-schöner Musik, wie sie in den Werken von Johann Sebastian Bachs zweitgeborenem Sohn ebenfalls immer wieder vorkommen.
Ob schwebend leicht oder mit federnder Kraft, wir spüren überall die kompositorische Kraft des Komponisten.
Michael Rische’s C.P.E. Bach cycle concludes with this eighth album. The cycle covers roughly half of all the piano concertos by Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach (1714–1788). As with the other recordings, this one features highly contrasting and correspondingly rhetorical musical performances.
The fast movements have a lot of momentum, and the inner tension and spontaneity make the music exciting. The slow movements feature the most enchanting moments of restrained, beautiful music, as is frequently found in the works of Johann Sebastian Bach’s second son.
Whether floating lightly or with springy power, the composer’s skill is evident throughout.
