Richard Lin (27, Taiwan/US) has been awarded First Prize at the 10th International Violin Competition of Indianapolis. Second and Third Prizes went to 17-year-old Risa Hokamura from Japan and 28-year-old VC Young Artist Luke Hsu from United States.
A graduate of the Curtis Institute of Music and the The Juilliard School, where he studied with Aaron Rosand and Lewis Kaplan, Richard Lin is a former prize winner at the Wieniawski, Shanghai and Joseph Joachim International Violin Competitions.
