Rafael Payare

The San Diego Symphony has announced that Venezuelan conductor Rafael Payare, 45, will continue leading the orchestra as Music & Artistic Director through the 2028–29 season. Payare has been leading the orchestra since 2019. He is also Music Director of the Orchestre symphonique de Montréal.
