The musicians both of the orchestras of Radio France have learned that the Government intends to keep alive the orchestras, but would like to reduce the number of musicians. Therefore they launched a petition with on Open Letter to Prime Minister Valls and the Minister of Culture, Pellerin. The musicians point out the international reputation of the Orchestre National de France and the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France and their « strong identities: it is a unique treasure in the world, no other radio can boast of hosting. » They also underline that the musical ensembles of the corporation represent only 6% of the overall budget of Radio France.
