The Rachmaninov Conservatory in Paris has received confirmation from the Paris City Council that the activity of the Conservatory will be able to continue in the historic building at 26 Avenue de New York, the institution says in a news release.

For Mr. Emmanuel Grégoire and Ms. Carine Rolland, deputies of Ms. Anne Hidalgo in charge of urban planning and culture, « the City of Paris had no intention of calling into question the artistic and cultural activity of the conservatory on this site. » This is a big success for the management of the Consecratory which, worried that they could be forced to leave the premises, had launched a petition which was signed by 38,900 people.
