The season 2025/26 of the Philharmonie in Luxembourg has been announced, and by concentrating on Pizzicato’s core stuff (the house offers much more than classical music) one can notice a lot of very well-known names in the program brochure.

Some of Europe’s most prestigious orchestras make a stop at the Philharmonie Luxembourg this season: Berliner Philharmoniker (with Kirill Petrenko), The London Symphony Orchestra (with Pappano and Rattle), Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, Gewandhausorchester Leipzig (with Nelsons), Bayerisches Staatsorchester (with Rattle), Orchestra del Teatro alla Scala (with Chailly), London Philharmonic (with Karina Canellakis and Anne-Sophie Mutter), Israel Philharmonic Orchestra and  Münchner Philharmoniker, both with Lahav Shani, and the Academy of St Martin in the Fields with Joshua Bell and the Academy of Saint Martin in the Fields.

Among the famous pianists coming to Luxembourg are Sokolov, Schiff, Levit, Kissin, Vinnitskaya, and Aimard,

Highlights in the season are the live music ciné-concerts. In the upcoming season they allow people to rediscover Alfred Hitchcock with his movies Psycho, Vertigo, and Blackmail, enhanced by the unforgettable music of Bernard Herrmann and live performance by the Luxembourg Philharmonic.

Many of those concerts are comprised in the new subscription model Pick & Mix. The principle is simple: people choose four or more concerts according to their taste, schedule and wishes. They benefit from the following advantages: reduced prices (-10%) and guaranteed seats for the selected concerts before the start of free sales.
