In protest against the attempted annexation of Crimea, a group of Polish politicians ask the organizer to cancel a forthcoming tour of Poland by the Russian Alexander Pustovalov Army Choir. Polish politicians Bogusław Sonik and Róża Thun (Civic Platform), both members of the European Parliament (EPP), as well as the leader of the Civic Platform in the national parliament Rafał Grupiński say the choir, with a repertoire consisting largely of Soviet military songs, cultivates the traditions of the Red Army, and its performances, « at a time when we are witnessing a revival of Russian imperialism, are inadmissible ».

The tour of the is to include almost 20 Polish towns and is scheduled to take place from 28 March to 6 April.
