The Philharmonie in Luxembourg, which opened in 2005, is being expanded to include another modular hall and office space as well as artist rooms. They will be added to the back of the existing building. The building permit for the extension, designed by the architectural firm Christian de Portzamparc, has been issued. Tenders are now being invited and the contracts awarded. Construction is expected to take two years, starting in the summer of 2024.

Operations at the Philharmonie are to continue unrestricted during the planned construction period of two years.
