When an airline employee abandoned Itzhak Perlman with his violin, crutches and luggage at Toronto Airport, the violists told the Canadian press about the incident which caused a worldwide media storm. In the meantime Air Canada has offered an apology and a donation to Chai Lifeline Canada, the charity Perlman was in Toronto to support with a concert.
