Polish capital Warsaw hosts a Penderecki Festival, 16–23 November 2018, marking the composer’s 85th birthday. With the participation of such musicians as Anne Sophie Mutter, Yuri Bashmet, Claudio Bohorquez, Andres Mustonen, The Shanghai Quartet, John Axelrod, Alexander Liebreich, Christoph Eschenbach, Leonard Slatkin and Lawrence Foster the festival is the second one after the first, organized in 2013, for Penderecki’s 80th birthday.
