Der luxemburgische Percussionist und Komponist Pascal Schumacher legt mit Sol sein erstes Soloalbum vor, auf dem das Vibraphon eine zentrale Rolle spielt.Es ist ein durchwegs ruhiges Programm, lichtvoll wie die Sonne, nach der es benannt ist, zart berauschend, wie an einem Sommertag in der Natur abdriftend.

Sol evoziert Szenen von großer Schönheit und balanciert das Inspirierende mit dem Melancholischen oder Poetischen aus, um eine perfekte Spannung zu erzeugen, mal jazzig, mal minimalistisch oder einfach nur ‘schwebend’.

Sol ist eine gedämpfte, kontemplative Platte, gewiss beruhigend und hin und wieder auch transzendental.

It is a consistently calm programme, bright like the sun from which it took its name, delicately intoxicating, as if drifting away in nature on a summer day.
Sol evokes scenes of great beauty, balancing the inspiring with the melancholic or poetic to create a perfect atmosphere, sometimes jazzy, sometimes minimalist or just ‘floating’.
Sol is a quiet, contemplative recording, certainly with a calming effect and sometimes transcendental.
