Olivier Mantei has been chosen as general manager for the Cité de la Musique – Philharmonie de Paris, the French Ministry of Culture and the City of Paris announced today. He will take office on November 1, 2021, for a five-year term. He will succeed Laurent Bayle.

Olivier Mantei, 56, was administrator of several musical groups:, notably of the orchestra Accentus and Krivine’s La Chambre Philharmonique. After having worked with Peter Brook at the Bouffes du Nord theater, Olivier Mantei became deputy director of the Opéra-Comique in 2007, a structure he has been managing since 2015.
