62-year-old Austrian conductor Franz Welser-Möst, Music Director of the Cleveland Orchestra had a cancerous tumor removed and has canceled his conducting performances from late October through the end of the year. “His doctors are confident of a full recovery,” the Cleveland Orchestra said in a statement. Welser-Möst will undergo treatment between conducting engagements for 12 to 16 months.

Es handelt sich dabei um ein sogenanntes Gästebuch, das um 1900 von den Besitzer einer Künstleragentur, Hermann und Louise Wolff geführt wurde, in dem sich viele bekannte Musiker eintrugen.
