Pablo Gonzalez

Pablo Gonzalez is the new Principal Conductor of the Spanish RTVE Symphony Orchestra and artistic adviser to the Orchestra and Choir. The new manager already works as an artistic consultant in the programming of the 2019-2020 season. Miguel Angel Gomez-Martínez will complete his tenure in August 2019.

Born in Oviedo, Pablo Gonzalez studied at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London. He attracted international attention after winning the First Prize in the International Competition of Cadaques and in the Donatella Flick Competition. From 2010 to 2015 he was the principal conductor of the Barcelona Symphony Orchestra. He was also Principal guest conductor of the City of Granada Orchestra His recording of Schumann with Lena Neudauer has been awarded the International Classical Music Award.
