The Minnesota Orchestra named Osmo Vänskä music director on a two-year contract starting the 1^st of May. In a statement released by the Orchestra, the old an new music director said he was “very pleased to have this chance to rebuild the Vänskä/Minnesota Orchestra partnership.” This ends the turmoil caused by the longest labor conflict in in U.S. symphonic history.
