Australian conductor Nicholas Carter, 34, will become the Opera Director of Konzert Theater Bern from the 2021/22 season. Simultaneously he will become chief conductor of the opera house. He succeeds Xavier Zuber. Nicholas Carter currently serves as Chief Conductor of the Stadttheater Klagenfurt and the Kärntner Sinfonieorchester
