The new David Geffen Hall opens its doors on Friday, October 7 with a month-long festival ‘Home’, led by the New York Philharmonic and Music Director, Jaap van Zweden.

“After more than 20 years, we are finally able to welcome our communities to our new home – a totally reimagined David Geffen Hall. Thanks to our partners at Lincoln Center and our committed Board and dedicated donors, and a visionary and resourceful team of architects and designers, this month we are celebrating the dynamic, new concert hall constructed during the pandemic.

The David Geffen Hall includes the Wu Tsai Theater and new spaces for smaller-scale performances, the Kenneth C. Griffin Sidewalk Studio and the Music Box.

The Wu Tsai Theater is a 2,200-seat concert hall. It has been totally renovated, with all seats closer to the stage than ever before, and vastly improved acoustics. The lobbies have been enlarged and redesigned.
