Thirteen young musicians within 4 different categories will get the chance to travel to Vienna, perform with a symphony orchestra at the Konzerthaus, and be recorded live for international television. This is the goal of the online classical music competition Classicalia launched in summer 2021 to provide an opportunity for young instrumentalists and singers.
« We have three categories of standard Western classical music, and then Category 4 is open to classical music from all over the world » says Andrea Warren, one of the organizers of Classicalia.
The jury comprises just five jurors, pianist Jura Margulis, Chinese violinist Chen Xi, Tokyo-based Hungarian clarinetist István Kohán, pianist Peter Bence and the artist manager Michael Gruber.
