Futuristic Philharmonic Hall in Moscow

The construction work of the new Philharmonic Hall in a new central park in Moscow is proceeding according to schedule, Russian media reported. Built with Valery Gergiev as adviser, the new hall will be bigger as Mariinsky II in Saint Petersburg.Gergiev calls it a futuristic hall for the 22d century. It is planned to open in 2018, while the park will welcome its first visitors at the end of 2017.

The park is built on the site of the demolished hotel Russia, on the waterfront between pedestrian zones Kitai-Gorod and the Kremlin. It will host the Philharmonic hall an exhibition gallery, a museum and shops.
