The 20th Paloma O’Shea Santander International Piano Competition, to be held from 25 July to 5 August, has been launched with an excellent number of pianists registered, the highest in its history, the organization says.
303 applications were received, from 46 nationalities, Korea with 45 candidates, China with 39, Russia with 36 and Spain with 21 candidates.
Ages range from 16 to 32, with the 24-29 age range being the largest sample.
