Marina Rebeka hat für ihr erstes Klavierlieder-Album Lieder von französischen Komponisten in französischer, italienischer, deutscher und russischer Sprache zusammengestellt.
Auch wenn die Stile unterschiedlich sind und sich die Mittel, die die Sängerin einsetzt, stark unterscheiden, ist der gemeinsame Nenner der Musik, die wir hören, eine Zusammenspiel von Dramatisierung, Raffinement und Leuchtkraft. Rebekas Stimme ist leicht, technisch sicher geführt, manchmal allerdings etwas scharf. So technisch gut das auch sein mag, die Sängerin ist, wie zu erwarten, auch zu Emotionen fähig. Und alles, was sie tut, ist natürlich, ohne billige Effekte, mit einem sehr sicheren künstlerischen Geschmack.
Mathieu Pordoy trägt seinen Teil dazu bei, die Musik auf angenehme Weise aufzufrischen.

Marina Rebeka has compiled songs by French composers in French, Italian, German and Russian for her first piano song album.
Although the styles are different and the means the singer employs vary greatly, the common denominator of the music we hear is an interplay of dramatization, refinement and luminosity. Rebeka’s voice is light, technically confidently led, though sometimes a bit sharp. As technically good as it may be, the singer is also capable of emotion, as one would expect. And everything she does is natural, without cheap effects, with a very sure artistic taste.
Mathieu Pordoy does his part to freshen up the music in a pleasant way.
