Osmo Vänskä, 69, whose term as the Minnesota Orchestra’s Music Director is about to come to an end, will be appointed as Conductor Laureate to continue bringing his presence to the stage, effective September 2022. As conductor laureate, Vänskä will annually return to conduct the Orchestra.
The conductor joined the Minnesota Orchestra in 2003.
