Mina Zikri

The Northbrook Symphony (Northbrook, Illinois) announced today that conductor Mina Zikri, 41, a native of Egypt, founder and current music director of the Oistrakh Symphony of Chicago, will become it’s Music Director with the start of the symphony’s 2019/2020 season. Zirki will succeed Lawrence Rapchak, who was at the helm of the orchestra for 17 years.
Zikri frequently works as Assistant Conductor with conductor Daniel Barenboim and the West-Eastern Divan Orchestra.
